Hello,
Here in Seoul, South Corea, there have been several efforts to make an IMC. These efforts have failed due to in-fighting and factionalism among some of the mainstream leftist groups here in Corea. Many groups and individuals here in South Corea recognize the need for an IMC. At the same time, there are some who feel that the predominance of english language in Indymedia is an obstacle for a potential Corean IMC. These issues should be discussed by those who are interested in creating an IMC Corea.
I'm happy to announce that new efforts are being made for becoming part of the network. Media activists associated with Seoulidarity and the Korean Anarchist Network will have the first open meeting next week in order to make plans for establishing a website, connecting with other groups, mobilizing support, etc.
We would appreciate any help, advice or solidarity that anyone can offer us.
