방글라데시 대사관 "자국인 강제추방 유감"
주한 방글라데시 대사관은 15일 우리 정부가 최근 반한단체 활동에 연루된 방글라데시인을 강제추방한 데 대해 항의의 뜻을 표시했다.
방글라데시 대사관측은 이날 보도자료를 통해 “대한민국의 어떠한 정부당국으로부터도 방글라데시인이 반한 이슬람단체조직과 관련성으로 추방됐다는 내용을 전달받지 못했는데 이런 사실이 언론에 크게 보도됐다”며 “매우 유감스럽고 불행스러운 일”이라고 밝혔다.
반한단체 활동에 가담한 방글라데시인 2명을 추방한 사실은 최근 국회 법사위 국정감사 장에서 김재경 의원이 법무부와 출입국관리사무소가 제출한 국감자료를 통해 공개했다. 이에 대해 외교통상부는 “김 의원측이 직접 경로를 통해 확인하지 않아 생긴 일인 것 같다”며 “법무부 및 관련당국과 함께 사실여부를 확인하고 있다”고 밝혔다.

Bangladesh’s top envoy to Seoul flatly refuted a recent news report that the South Korean government deported three Bangladeshi people in April on charges of anti-state activities, possibly involving a terrorist organization.
``We have not received any information from the South Korean government about the Bangladeshi people’s involvement in anti-state activities,’’ Bangladeshi Ambassador to South Korea A M Mahmuduzzaman said in an exclusive interview with The Korea Times Monday.
“우리는 한국정부로부터 반한활동에 방글라데시인이 연루되었다는 정보를 받은 적이 없다.”라고 주한 방글라데시 대사 A M Mahmuduzzaman은 월요일 The Korea Times과의 인터뷰를 통해 말했다.
The ambassador showed documents as evidence, submitted to his embassy by the South Korean Immigration Bureau, saying the Bangladeshi people were deported not because of their anti-state activities but because of their illegal stay in South Korea.
방글라데시 대사는 출국된 방글라데시인이 반한활동 연루되어 출국당한 것이 아니라 불법체류로 출국되었다고 말하며 증거로 출입국에서 보낸 서류를 보여주었다.
``If any person commit a crime, they should be arrested and charged, and finally tried in court, especially in the case of the serious crime of anti-state activity,’’ the ambassador explained.
“누군가가 범죄에 연루되었다면 체포되어 법정에서 재판을 받아야 할 것입니다. 특히 반국가활동과 같은 중대한 범죄의 경우에는 더욱 그렇죠.”라고 주한 방글라데시 대사는 설명했다.
``However, there is no specific process designed for any Bangladesh nationals residing here, and the three Bangladeshis were just deported in accordance with usual procedures.’’
“하지만 현재 그러한 일로 체포되거나 수사 중인 방글라데시인은 한명도 없으며, 그 세 명의 방글라데시인도 일반적인 절차를 통해 출국되었습니다.”
